In this role you ensure the technical development of new components and systems for the global elevator business according to Schindler’s quality requirements. Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Analyse, develop, test, implement and verify new components or systems in the elevator business
  • Evaluate and demonstrate technical feasibility
  • Define, implement, and maintain the interfaces between the different component areas of a system
  • Analyse market or customer requirements and prepare design specifications
  • Planning and execution according to development projects plans
  • Moderate and coach the organization of reliability activities
  • Assess reliability and functional safety in all phases of product life cycle

You have strong communication and project management capabilities and skills in product design and assessment. As a highly responsible team player with experience in automotive or industrial equipment organizations you have the ability to work within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. You have a risk-based mindset with focus on failure, risk prevention and risk avoidance. Further requirements may include:

  • Bachelor’s or preferably master’s degree in engineering with specialization or relevant experience in the area or reliability
  • Expert in in reliability prediction, reliability modelling and demonstration testing as well as in DFMEA moderation
  • Experience in functional safety management, hazard analyses and risk assessments
  • Experienced in definition and allocation of system and component reliability and maintainability targets as well as in SIL allocation and verification according IEC61508 including calculation of SFF
  • Proficiency in preparation of training material
  • Fluent language skills in English
