Job Description


Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.

Based in Zurich, they are looking for a Renewable Energy Development Manager (M/W)

  • Responsibilities:
  • Identify new project/ investment opportunities for solar PV, concentrated solar, wind, or other renewable energies in select markets
  • Negotiate a set of key terms to (co-)develop or acquire greenfield or brownfield project portfolios in close collaboration with our in-house investment-, technical- and legal team
  • Present development and/or investment opportunities to the management based on holistic consideration of financial models permitting status and other critical techno-economic success factors
  • Collaborate with local development partners to successfully manage the development and permitting process from acquisition to ready-to-built stage
  • Support preparation of information memos and data for presentation to senior management including risk management strategies
  • Stay up to date on latest market developments and news, policy changes and identify mid- to long-term business opportunities
  • Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of relevant project/ business development experience in renewable energy projects; preferably with an internationally experienced company
  • Good understanding of technical and financial value drivers in renewable energy projects
  • Deep understanding and experience of local interaction with authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in project management methodologies is considered an advantage
  • Financial modelling or relevant technical engineering capability is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English

  • MANDATORY: European passport

Qualifications


At least 8 years of relevant project/ business development experience in renewable energy projects; preferably with an internationally experienced company
