The Therapeutic Modalities (PR) department at one of our largest clients is looking for a Research Associate to join their efforts in new target discovery, compound development, and early clinical development of novel therapeutics by being involved in the execution of recombinant adeno associated viral vector (rAAV) production processes. In this role, you will execute experiments, as well as develop production procedures and other relevant documentation.Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Culturing mammalian cells for viral production in shake flasks, spinner flasks, spin tubes and/or benchtop bioreactors.
  • Preparing and reviewing process development protocols, data analysis summaries, technical reports, and other relevant process documentation.
  • Optimization of transfection and transduction protocols
  • Participating in the technology transfer from process development to manufacturing sites (as needed).
Main Requirements
  • B.S. in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or biology/molecular biology or related area. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Generally, has 3 – 5 years of relevant scientific or technical experience in AAV production in the life sciences industry or equivalent.
  • Experience in cell culture including materials, instruments and technologies is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques (IEF, HPLC-FPLC, Octet,)
  • Fluent in English
