Summary Of Major Responsibilities

The Sales & Marketing Director, EU Distributors & Small Markets is directly responsible for all commercially-related activities within the distributors countries and selected small markets in Europe, in terms of strategy development and coordination of tactical execution. This role is a key contributor to our international growth plans and will leverage relationships with key opinion leaders and other physicians in the fields of cancer treatment to enlist their assistance in initiating programs and activities, which will promote appropriate adoption and reimbursement of Exact Sciences technologies in cancer treatment. This position reports to the Head of International Commercial Operations and will be a core member of the Commercial Operations Management team and the distributor steering committee.

This role will be located in Zug, Switzerland.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for the selected markets in advancing our corporate presence and widening the market for Exact Sciences portfolio.
  • Define priorities, timelines, and overall business plans in align with the high-level strategy for the Sub-Region.
  • Conduct continuous assessment of the local business opportunities, establish the key goals in prioritized markets, and support the development of the business plan with focus on the key markets.
  • Deliver profitable sales through the effective use of resources to ensure sales targets are achieved/exceeded by demonstrating personal accountability.
  • Keep abreast of market and environmental changes by gathering competitive intelligence and provide input to the overall long range and operating corporate plans.
  • Ensure the respect of the identified metric targets in order to keep sales activities under control identifying key issues and performing the actions needed to achieve business goals.
  • Work closely with the international team (Marketing, Training Medical Affairs, Communication, and Market Access) to support the execution of the business plan by:
    • Providing leadership and coordination for the implementation of international initiatives at the local level.
    • Working with the international training lead to implement local training programs.
    • Driving local Market Access opportunities in collaboration with the Market Access Manager.
    • Ensuring the right Medical Affairs support through the involvement of the Medical Affairs team.
    • Collaborating with the key functions to define promo-materials and implementation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with technical background; chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or similar focus preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercializing Oncology/diagnostic products in the Region.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing distributors and direct markets.
  • Proven direct involvement and successful track record in driving performance and deliver results in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated leadership in working with cross-functional departments in an international environment.
  • Fluent to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
