From the moment a seed is planted through to harvest, crops need to be protected from weeds, insects and diseasesas well as droughts and floods, heat and cold.Syngenta Crop Protection is headquartered in Switzerland.PurposeJob DescriptionAs a sales specialist, you are responsible for the business development and acquisition of some accounts, chains and wholesalers. You operate in several sub-channels for which you develop a specific commercial strategy which you execute in close collaboration with your colleagues.Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales objectives by managing, developing and acquiring customers
  • Ensure a comprehensive sales strategy for several sub-channels in the Ornamental, Turf and Landscape market
  • Understand the market environment and develop growth activities accordingly
  • Implement, follow up and update Customer Plans
  • Ensure complete support in development of Category Channel and Field Sales Plans
  • Ensure the execution of the operational plan in time in order to achieve the annual targets by wholesalers
  • Ensure adherence to all Company principles and policies
  • Collaborate with peer to share Customer best practices, liaise with Marketing, Technical and Supply Chain to drive Customer related initiative
Qualifications
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) or comparable experience
  • Relevant experience in Sales as junior account manager or sales specialist
  • Knowledge of the Swiss retail environment
  • Track record of independently retail negotiation
  • Experience in delivering sustainably and long-term growth
  • IT knowledge: Office: Excel& PowerPoint, preferably SAP, Sales Force
  • Experience a similar role delivering on KPIs, especially top and bottom-line business results
  • Technical knowledge in agronomy
  • German, English and French fluent, Italian is a big plus
