The Life Science Career NetworkCTC are specialised industry experts who can help companies source the best talent and provide reliable HR and consulting services, support varied candidates in finding promising career opportunities and offer the latest in skill development training programmes.Scientist Process DevelopmentOur client, a large pharmaceutical organization, is looking for a Scientist Process Development for a 12-month contract(with possibility for extension) inBern .Main Responsibilities
  • Play a key role at developing an alternative filtration technology
  • Operating filtration systems, analyzing data, and writing reports.
  • Independent planning, performing, and evaluation of experiments
  • Play an active role in the development and optimization of the manufacturing process
  • Support and train new team members to be able to perform experiments successfully
  • Performing routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation
Qualifications And Experience
  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
  • University (or equivalent institution of higher education) degree in a relevant field (Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Process Development). Higher postgraduate degrees, e.g. Masters or PhD, will be well regarded
  • Protein purification
  • Independent planning, conducting/performing and supervising laboratory experiments in the context of process development studies for plasma products
  • Data evaluation and analysis applying sound statistical methods
  • Experience in or familiarity with Data Processing Software (e.g. JMP or R)
  • Experience in or familiarity with Quality by Design principles, including Design of Experiments will be well regarded
  • Good scientific report writing and presentation skills
  • Interest in lab work (approx. 70 % lab and 30 % office)
  • Near native / fluent in German and / or English. Highly proficient in both languages will be well regarded
