We are digital builders born in the cloud and currently, we are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Architect. You can either work in our office or remotely in this position, however, you have to be based in Switzerland already.

As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect at Nordcloud, you will work on various customer projects, from building a new infrastructure to migrations, audits and Big Data. The daily work can include everything from implementing a configuration management infrastructure to conducting workshops and design recommendations for a technical team. You will also become a trusted advisor to well-known companies and manage the customer relationships, and roadmap together with the Nordcloud sales team.

Your daily work:

• As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect you will be working as a technical consultant for our enterprise customers. Your taks include:
• Contributing to the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services
• Migrating on-premises workloads to cloud environments and modernization of old solutions to cloud-native technologies
• Creating PoCs
• Automating the cloud environment with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as a Code
• Defining and implementing security strategies

Your skills:

• Professional experience as an Cloud Architect in an AWS environment; experience in a consultancy is beneficial
• Experience with IaC frameworks (e.g. Terraform)
• Knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker) and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Knowledge in SQL/NoSQL-databases and networking are beneficial
• Ability to create and present solution architectures in terms of availability, performance and cost
• Knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g. PowerShell)
• Fluent communication skills in German (or French) and English (must have)
