About our client

Our client is one of the leading insurance companies in Switzerland based in Zurich.
On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst.
This is a 12-month contracting role with the potential to extend.

Due to visa restrictions, we can only consider EU or Swiss passport holders.

Your mission

  • Works closely with legal entity Actuaries and Finance teams, Product Owner of the squad and other internal and external stakeholders to capture complete and accurate business needs (focus on insurance core system and finance system data requirements)
  • Manages relationship and coordinates work including entity-specific requests with legal entity, other squads and Product Owner
  • Drives the IT business analysis of technical accounting, core insurance and actuarial system integration with the company’s new global finance landscape (SAP FPSL)
  • Analyze and document the as-is status of business, finance, actuarial data & IT landscape and provides a gap analysis to meet all IFRS17 data requirements
  • Specifies source system data derivation rules with high quality and foresight based on profound understanding of business and systems, including proposing feasible and optimal workarounds
  • Provides specification for integrating, validating and transforming the local data for the global IFRS system
  • Supports the legal entity and development teamers working on the implementation and testing of the new IFRS system and the integration layer for the global IFRS system
  • Monitors and keeps the proposed solutions up to date under changing assumptions
  • Works across functions to ensure a smooth implementation and go live including support on necessary user training
  • Performs other project tasks and ad-hoc activities

Your background

  • Finance & accounting or actuarial knowledge is a must
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Data model literacy: can read and analyze complex logical and physical data models
  • Insurance know-how
  • English. Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
  • Willing to acquire new skills
  • Works diligently with strong delivery focus as well as analytical capabilities
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Strong Team player
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with working in agile environments
  • Proficient in MS Office tools like MS Teams, MS Sharepoint
