About the Role

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Business Solutions Architecture Centre of Excellence (CoE). You will help us drive architecture for the solutions that are used across all Swiss Re functions and actively contribute to the implementation of Swiss Re strategy, to better use data and become a digital knowledge company.

This role provides an outstanding opportunity to collaborate in a global and dynamic environment with colleagues across a variety of business functions, applying architecture development frameworks and consulting methodologies. You will lead initiatives to identify, design and implement business solutions that fit into the architecture and roadmap of various domains of our company while making the best use of the newest technologies. As part of the architecture CoE you will also drive enterprise-wide improvement initiatives and maintain the long-term view in order to meet key business objectives.


As a Senior Business Solutions Architect you have a solid background in all aspects of information technology solution & technical architecture.

About the Team

We are a small team in a newly built unit where we drive architecture harmonization and the introduction of common components across Swiss Re. We enjoy cooperating in a dynamic environment and benefit from an unique learning opportunity across all areas of Swiss Re.

About You

  • Master degree in IT, engineering or related fields
  • Experienced lead architect or similar role in a complex global environment
  • Deep technical knowledge - design patterns and solution architectures. Micro services, CI/CD, DDD, APIs are more than buzz words for you.
  • Continuous learner who stays up-to-date with the latest trends and carefully considers the accurate moment to adopt them
  • Definite curiosity about "Digital Transformation" and its potential impact on trusted business models
  • Confident to engage courageously, challenge constructively and voice opinions in developing new solutions as well as improving existing ones
  • Able to navigate ambiguity, identify pragmatic solutions and determined to follow them through implementation
  • Strong influencing skills when working with diverse team members with opposing interests that facilitate alignment across the organisation
  • Able to organise workshops with different audiences and encourage the participants to think about things differently. You own the process and have confirmed experience of presenting to all levels throughout the entreprise.
