Inventa is a chemical engineering company in the field of oleochemicals, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cleantech and other areas. Over the past 30 years Inventa has built more than 120 chemical plants globally. Inventa is particularly specialized in the development and commercialization of new process technologies (from bench to industrial scale).

Given ongoing cleantech and foodtech projects in Switzerland, Inventa is looking to expand its local workforce with an experienced senior Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project manager.

Tasks
  • Manage the project development with the engineering team and the client
  • Ensure engineering execution according to agreed schedules and timelines
  • Review and approve project documentation
  • Oversee procurement and approve order placement
  • Supervise contractors
  • Ad-hoc problem solving
  • Project status reporting to the management
  • Full-time position
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project management in the chemical industry
  • Able to start immediately
  • Independently managed turnkey chemical EPC projects
  • Familiar with jet reactor technology design and 90 ton per batch scale-up
  • Strong preference for previous international project experience
  • Able to work in an international environment and willingness to travel / relocate as required
  • Educational background in engineering supervision and construction safety
  • Well-versed in project management tools
  • Fluent in English
  • Self-driven, independent and willing to go above and beyond to ensure proper and timely project execution
  • Passionate to work on future oriented, sustainable projects
  • Hands-on and get-things-done mentality
  • Remain calm under pressure and able to deal with short term deadlines
