About Our Client

For our client, a private bank, we are currently looking for :

Senior Credit Officer / Lender

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working within Credit department, managing credit transactions - predominantly Lombard and Structured Lombard - from start to finish
  • Advising RMs on credit transactions for private banking clients and potentially institutional clients
  • Structuring complex credit transactions, preparing credit risk analysis and presenting credit requests and annual reviews in a timely manner
  • Transaction execution, implementation and monitoring of the credit decisions taken
  • Working in close cooperation with Credit Monitoring Office, Mortgage team and Legal department
  • Liaising and building relationships with other departments (Compliance, Operations, Trading etc) or external counsels as the case may be
  • Drafting term sheets and experienced in review and negotiation of legal documentation
  • Taking part in working groups for product reviews, new credit product launch
  • Support Credit Management in structuring new credit products, drafting policies and guidelines
  • Promote understanding of risk within the Bank and improve coordination and communication with the national & international network of the Bank


The Successful Applicant

Profiles


  • Higher education in either Banking / Business / Finance, Bank apprenticeship with additional education in Credits
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a Credit Officer, Lender, Credit Structurer or Credit Advisor in a Private Bank or in a Financial Institution with credit authority and credit origination
  • Additional experience in property lending or corporate (cash flow) lending is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills combined with an ability to apply these in a practical and balanced manner
  • Well organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently. "Roll-up your sleeves" attitude is essential.
  • Cooperative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Senior, engaged, flexible and open-minded personality who is able to successfully operate in a dynamic and international environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Additional knowledge in French and/or German are an advantage
