With a strong customer-centric approach, the new company will help customers to meet their needs for speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency through digital business innovation, cloud technology, and solutions that cover banking and insurance processes end-to-end.

With a global network of partners, the operations will focus on more than 10 countries in Europe, North and Latin America, and APAC.

Possible working locations for this role are in most SAP Fioneer countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Canada, US, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Australia, India, Singapore) combined with a willingness to travel.

Tasks

We are looking for a highly motivated (SENIOR) DATA ARCHITECT (F/M/D) who supports our customers’ transformation projects, in the Banking (Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Banking Management) or Insurance Industry (P&C, Life and Insurance Management).

As a Data Architect, you describe and visualize the governance, maintenance, distribution, and storage of data considering: Which metadata (such as master data, transactional data, etc.) is relevant, how data is maintained and governed by the business (i.e. how the organization defines and manages its data as an asset), what dataflows might exist to transform data and how data is aggregated to information

In addition to customer projects, you will build out the global practice and improve the existing SAP Fioneer solutions. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in practice development activities such as developing reusable assets, mentoring, and developing others, and working closely with partners in co-led engagements.

  • Responsible for the data architecture, which is composed of models, policies, rules, or standards that govern which data is collected, and how it is stored, arranged, integrated, and used in data systems and in organizations.
  • technology-focused architect (in addition to designing how data systems are managed and stored, they define how data should be accessed and analyzed)
  • Coordinates various data sources and integrates new data technologies into existing IT infrastructure
  • Aligns the data collection and distribution policies with the organization’s operational and strategic objectives
  • Works with members of a data team, which may include data engineers, data miners, data scientists, and data analysts, in areas related to data collection, data storage, data security and data access
  • Coach project and team members on architectural topics
  • Advice customers on top technology trends where IT organizations transition into hybrid system landscape with a mix of on-premise platforms, private cloud solutions and public cloud services as well as data governance and data quality topics
  • Review client as-is processes and create the high-level to-be process model
  • Performance of feasibility studies/solution reviews
  • Existing knowledge of SAP Financial Services Data Platform is a bonus
Requirements

  • Master or equivalent degree, second academic degree preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Data Architecture
  • Expert in Data Management, Data Governance and Data Strategy topics
  • Advanced knowledge on data protection laws, information security regulations, and ethical considerations
  • Experienced in Machine Learning/data-driven (data science)
  • Good C-Level communication & presentation skills
  • Expert in applying methods of process and solution architecture modeling based on SAP and non-SAP solutions in one or more industries
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent, accurate, and effective oral and written communication skills in English.
