The M&A team has a private equity mentality which resulted in being a significant contributor to overall group P&L over the last 10-15 years. The team has high prominence within Trafigura as a result.

The M&A team is made up of individuals from a number of different nationalities which allows to effectively cover projects in different regions.

Trafigura’s M&A team is lean and non-hierarchical, which presents a great opportunity to get exposure to senior traders and managers from a very early stage.

Whilst there are team members based permanently in the U.S. (Houston) and Far East (Singapore) time zones, the Geneva team is expected to be able to cover a wide range of geographies. The work environment is fast-paced and challenging; the nature of Trafigura, as an organization, is that for ambitious and hard-working candidates, there are significant opportunities to grow within the group and take on greater responsibilities over time.
