Job Summary

The Medical Information Senior Manager is a key medical resource in Incyte organization and maintains an expert level of current pharmaceutical knowledge for relevant medications and disease states.

Under the supervision of the Medical Information & Communication Lead, Europe/REALM the Medical Information Senior Manager creates, develops, and communicates balanced accurate medical information. The Medical Information Senior Manager will support the advisement, guidance, and appropriate clinically safe use of pharmaceutical drug medications by physicians and other health care providers in the medical community

Primary Responsibilities

Medical Information
  • Perform in-depth pharmaceutical drug research, analysis and interpretation of pharmaceutical drug pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and patient safety data utilizing literature searching databases and other professional society resources for pharmacists as necessary
  • Provide accurate, timely, and fair-balanced answers to medical pharmaceutical inquiries about drug products from healthcare professionals, providers, pharmacy groups, pharmaceutical drug suppliers, and consumers via telephone, in-person, or e-mail
  • Create pharmaceutical and medical information response documents to prioritized inquiries, assembling the information evaluated into an accurate, comprehensive and concise medical response with accurate pharmaceutical information
  • Adaptation, approval and maintenance of core medical information documentation for Region Europe. This includes but is not limited to Medical Response Letters, Frequently Asked Questions documents and scientific slides about both marketed and pipeline INCYTE products
  • Tracking and managing medical information, including Standard Response letters and fulfillment of ad hoc requests based on expert drug pharmacy knowledge
  • Responsible for review and approval of pharmaceutical drugs and recommendation of options and Receives, processes, peer reviews and contributes to the investigation of pharmaceutical drug, safety, efficacy, and dosage inquiries from medical and clinical staff at European level.
  • Maintain and supervise the call center vendor to respect quality and the agreed timelines with weekly meetings.
  • Participation in planning medical information support at European-based medical & scientific congresses. Activities include global medical information booth management and booth staff training
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in a scientific discipline or equivalent required. Relevant professional certification (eg, CMPP, AMWA) a plus.
  • Experience at least of 4 years with Medical Information in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to perform in-depth medical literature research, analysis and interpretation of drug evaluation and use data for timing, distribution, safety, and efficacy
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory guidelines affecting the dissemination of pharmaceutical drug medical information and drug product promotion
  • Personal leadership, accountability, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of literature searching databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
