As Manager Tax Planning and Reporting you will manage the tax planning for all Novartis entities in Switzerland. Represent Swiss Tax with local and global stake-holders for financial planning and profit monitoring, YE / Quarterly closing and Group Tax disclosure. You will also operate as advisory for Swiss tax related matters, including IP, M&A, restructuring and planning projects whilst having responsibility for Compliance & Risk Management.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Accuracy of tax provisioning and tax cash forecasting
  • Tax rate of the group/local entities, including local profitability management
  • Timely delivery, accuracy and conciseness of responses/work and analysis of ETR impact
  • Conciseness and accuracy in analysis and recommendations
  • Tax to be perceived as a business partner, quality of relationship with key partners
Minimum Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • University degree or equivalent in Tax or Legal or Finance or Economics required
  • Additional qualification in a Tax or Finance related area (Tax Expert, Tax Lawyer, CTA)
  • Specific Tax Expertise relating to Switzerland
  • 5 – 7 years of tax practice: in big 4 firm (or equivalent), leaving as Manager/Senior Manager (experience as in-house tax manager a bonus)
  • German language skills essential
  • The ability to communicate English language skills also a must
