Tasks
  • Packaging engineering is where the threads of all packaging-related topics come together: you are the one responsible for all packaging projects, sourcing and issues.
  • You will be responsible for the development and implementation of new packaging in line with deadlines, costs and quality and will be responsible for its further improvement in line with deadlines, costs and quality
  • You work closely with internal and external partners and accompany the packaging process from the idea to the launch
  • The area of packaging quality assurance is an important component, which you will help to further expand
  • You will be the contact person for questions regarding packaging law, packaging conformity and risk assessments in the packaging area
  • You manage all packaging related data at yamo
Requirements
  • You are a dynamic individual, who finds new ways to increase the popularity of yamo even more and bring solutions to the table.
  • You have a growth and entrepreneurial mindset
  • You are self-driven and always have a customer-centric approach.
  • Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
  • Education and/or further training in the packaging field (e.g. technician HF, packaging manager HFP, etc.)
  • Several years of professional experience as a packaging manager in a technical environment in the food packaging or food industry
  • In-depth knowledge of quality aspects of packaging materials (specifications, confirmations of conformity, migration analysis) and of applicable laws and regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of the packaging market and packaging prices
  • Basic knowledge of different packaging materials such as fibers, plastics and Tetra Pak combined with technical knowledge regarding packaging equipment
  • Basic knowledge of printing technologies and packaging refining options
  • Basic knowledge on food processing systems
  • Basic knowledge on sustainability
  • Interest in expanding and developing the area of packaging quality assurance
  • Analytical way of thinking with an eye for correlations
  • Good knowledge of Google applications and Microsoft Dynamics knowledge is an advantage
