The site in Visp, Switzerland is growing and we are currently looking for a Senior Process Project Engineer for the Planning and Execution of capital Projects. This is a Senior level position responsible for process engineering and coordination between all engineering areas of the investment activities in Visp. You will have responsibility for providing input for relevant engineering criteria (e.g., P&ID, quality etc.), coordination of all process relevant activities/EQP. The incumbent will make sure that all process relevant designs / engineering activities will be finished in time and all relevant documentation / archiving / filing activity applied.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for all Process related activities, Engineering and the process discipline of CAPEX projects to ensure that Lonza standards and requirements as well as the site standards are correctly incorporated within the discipline specifications
  • Responsible for quality, schedule, costs of all assigned sub-systems, provide equipment and system mechanical completion walk-downs, safety walk-downs, system energization plans
  • Coordination of all process relevant activities inkl. review and approve process engineering specifications, including process piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), datasheets, and procurement packages for new equipment and systems
  • Perform process engineering design tasks together with the whole team for the project including utilities and infrastructure
  • Understand and implement internal policies, procedures and specifications as required for the execution of process engineering for the project
  • Close collaboration with all project discipline (incl. Contactors), key Project & Site stakeholders, and project manager
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure the design, execution and delivery are in accordance with Global Engineering, Quality, Environmental and Safety procedures.
Key Requirements
  • Degree related to Process- or Chemical/Biological Engineering or similar (f.e. Chemistry, Biology)
  • Experience with Planning and support process (DSP, USP…etc.), preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with Planning and execution of CAPEX projects of advantage
  • Good technical understanding in general, with knowledge in the area of engineering, process and /or utilities for pharma and biopharma plants (P&ID, URS, FATs, SATs…)
  • Fluency in German and English is required
  • High energy levels with a passion for what you do
