About the Team


Swiss Re P&C Solutions uses Swiss Re’s risk expertise, strong capital base and new technology to help clients grow and improve profitability by developing innovative solutions and sharing the risk. The Automotive & Mobility Solutions team develops innovative solutions to mobility players – be it insurer, OEM, mobility provider or fleet. In this role you will be part of the dedicated sales and delivery team working closely with clients to find solutions to their mobility related insurance needs. You will benefit from being a core part of the Americas Solutions team as well as integrated into the larger global Automotive and Mobility Solutions team.


As Products & Partnerships Manager your responsibilities are:


  • To develop new innovative insurance products that are data based and/or tech enabled and address emerging trends in the Automotive and Mobility industry

  • To set the vision, be open-minded and a recognized though-leader both internally and externally

  • To grasp the essence of clients’ needs and respond to those promptly, scientifically, clearly and smartly

  • To think creatively the use of new data sources to build state of the art products

  • To feel comfortable with managing quantitative tasks and explaining advanced quantitative methods and results

  • To build and maintain a strong network in the automotive and insurance markets


You are a person with the following essential characteristics:


  • Background in philosophy, mathematics, physics, electronics, materials sciences, actuarial sciences

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the automotive industry or in a field of science

  • Determined & pragmatic: you have the determination to excel, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with top performers. You are content-based but capable to turn fast the conversations towards light topics Quick learner with strong attitude: You will be facing clients with high seniority and experience. Learning and acting fast are essential, like maintaining calmness

  • Self-motivated & open-minded: You thrive in an environment where you have room to identify the next step on your own, asking for help proactively where required

  • Adaptive & organised: You are ready to adapt to the timescales, location and environment you face, have a quick mindset and structured thinking

  • Tenacious & reliable: You take a problem through to a high-quality solution without relenting, also under pressure

  • Team-player & enabler: You communicate accurately and with a view to enabling the people you work with to perform at their best. You love an international environment.


Additional


  • PhDs and post Docs are a strong plus

  • English at professional level is a must. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

  • Available 80-100%

  • Flexibility to travel
