Summary Of Major Responsibilities

The Sr. Sales Operations Manager International plays a critical role in driving sales productivity and effectiveness supporting the Commercial Operation Management Team providing guidance on Business Intelligence, CRM Strategy and roadmap, business process implementation and key account management as well as coordinating the Commercial Excellence project with a strong focus on the sales execution and sales process optimization in line with key operating priorities.

The Sr. Sales Operations Manager International has the responsibility to manage a Business Analyst and to work closely with global Sales Operations & Commercial Analytics team based in our corporate headquarters in the United States. The position reports to the Head of Intl Commercial Operations. The ability to independently work on multiple deliverables with different Countries, strong skills in project management and strong communication skills will be key to success.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on Business Intelligence, CRM strategy and roadmap.
  • Provide support in sales planning, targeting, performance tracking, as well as assist with quarterly and annual sales volume and revenue forecasting analytics and processes.
  • Monitor and continuously improve metrics and measurements for tracking sales results.
  • Support the team during the business reviews to identify the opportunities to improve productivity
  • Support the Head of Commercial Operation in conducting ad-hoc analysis/deep dive at Country level to identify opportunities of performance improvement
  • Ensure accuracy and timely distribution of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports, actively identify reporting needs of the Commercial organization, perform ad-hoc report builds.
  • Provide ongoing analytics for all data related to sales and sales force execution and performance. Ensure accurate reporting and crediting of sales to Sales Force also with respect to incentive compensation plans.
  • Manage Sales and territory alignments.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure data/report availability and accuracy. Be responsible for data investigations resulting from requests submitted by our sales force.
  • Work with the Head of Commercial operation in executing the Commercial Excellence Project and in particular:
    • Support Country Managers in defining the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) targets and including them in the MBOs of each ROLs to reinforce compliance with SFE strategy.
    • Drive an optimal level calling activity with key target customers establishing a strong SFE monitoring systems to review the key salesforce metrics and coordinating follow-up with CMs/SMs on remedial action required.
    • Ensure a right/clean customer database is in place (with customers potential identified in line with guidelines) and support sales force deployment initiatives ensuring the alignment with SFE guidelines and optimizes investment of resources according to business potential and ROI
    • Support the effective usage of the Key Account Management tools
Skills And Requirements
  • Self-motivated professional with strong business and technology acumen and strong analytical/statistical skills
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Sales/CRM Analytics, Sales Force Effectiveness and/or Sales Excellence/Sales management in diagnostic, pharmaceutical/biotech (or adjacent) industry.
  • Ability to build sales, financial and/or compensation models/scenarios.
  • Experience working in a matrix management organization and ability to prioritize/balance multiple competing priorities within and across multiple projects at the same time while meeting strict deadlines
  • Track record of positive performance results with demonstrable project management and execution skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications/presentations, results orientation, facilitation and teamwork skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the oncology marketplace and the sales process of an oncology sales force is highly desirable.
  • A self-starter with results orientation/entrepreneurial spirit with potential for advancement
Qualifications

Minimum qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree with technical background (chemistry, biology, biotechnology or economics) preferred; MBA is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required, German (or French/Italian) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with computer skills (MS Excel, SQL, VBA, Tableau, CRM systems).
  • Authorization to work in Switzerland without sponsorship.
Travel requirements
  • Travel Requirements: 40%+ Travel.
  • Location: office is based in Zug (CH).
