    As a Senior Specialist in Innovative Materials, you will lead the development of new packaging materials / solutions by exploring and applying emerging material science technologies and translate these in concrete commercial concepts.

    This job will support the development of products for Nestle Research Nestlé Product Technology Centers and factories.

    A Day in the Life of a Senior Specialist in Innovative Materials

    • Contribute to lead and execute strategic research projects as a senior scientist
    • Propose and develop new impactful technologies to accelerate sustainable packaging developments and implementation
    • Transfer knowledge to Nestlé product Technology centers for rapid market tests and launches
    • Contribute to R&D Strategies for the Nestlé Packaging Institute
    • Develop and sustain international expertise in the Packaging field by generating impactful external publication/communication
    • Develop and maintain own area of expertise including writing impactful publications/communication
    • Contribute to the growth of Nestle external competence network
    • Generate IP in the area of Packaging Science
    • Develop talents within the team


    What will make you successful

    • PhD in Packaging Material Chemistry/Physics or related discipline
    • Previous experience working in teams/cross functional team/leading teams
    • At least 5 years work experience in running scientific activities in projects dedicated to packaging innovation
    • Knowledge in problem solving, design thinking and designing tools would be advantageous
    • Proven and actual publication track record
    • Passionate about food and packaging sustainability
    • Ability to work well in a team
    • Excellent communication skills (written/oral), fluent in English, French is a plus
