We are looking for a passionate out-of-the-box thinking engineer. As a part of a motivated team of engineers in our head-quarter in Ebikon, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our mechanical components and the analyses and correction of defects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing of codes, business and/or market requirements, align with stakeholders, and derive technical requirements.
• Development of technical solutions for a given problem and providing corresponding effort estimations and quality considerations
• Development of designs for new component and solutions and definition of interfaces under consideration of overall system architecture, requirements and production constraints (e.g., cost, quality, space, manufacturing...).
• Ensures Quality of implemented solution by performing code reviews, Design and FEM Calculations and Analysis, Simulations, Cost Analysis, Cross Functional Design Reviews and possible testing support
• Perform root-cause analysis for findings in collaboration with R&D testing teams and/or field representatives.
• Keep track of technology trends, propose use of new ideas and technologies in Schindler’s mechanical landscape, and generate IP proposals and patents for new ideas.

You are a self-directed and self-organized, highly responsible and reliable team player with strong analytics skills and with an open mind for new technologies. You are used to collaborate in an international, distributed environment with changing priorities.

Further requirements may include:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience as a general Mechanical Engineer and in Manufacturing Methods
• Good knowledge of 3D CAD Development Software (Creo and Windchill) and
• Experience with FEM calculation methods
• Familiarity with usage of SAP
• Language skills in German (Level C1) and English (Level B1)
• Quick learner, open minded for new technologies and a generator of innovative ideas
