Hitachi ABB Power Grids Switzerland Ltd, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. Our Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements. In this position you will lead a team of project managers for our Service business worldwide. You consistently ensure that projects are carried out professionally, cost-effectively and on schedule from the time the order is received until the handover of the operational system to the customer. You and your team will lead projects and new business cases of varying degrees of standardization to success in both commercial and technical terms. You are also in demand in the course of continuous process improvement. Thanks to you, high customer satisfaction and an optimal project result are guaranteed at all times.

Your Responsibilities

• Management of a group of project managers
• Project management of orders for GIS & GCB systems with the aim of achieving high customer satisfaction and an optimal project result
• Coaching/mentoring and monitoring of the team in the commercial management of customer projects with a focus on cost reduction and optimization of cash flow / NWC
• Management of technical and commercial opportunities and risks
• Active change and claim management
• Support project managers in escalations
• Continuous improvement of the processes with interfaces to other functions
  
  

Your background

• Professional experience in a leading position
• Experience in customer project management in the high-voltage sector (>5 years), including project management certification
• Profound business management know-how as well as a keen interest in managing costs and capital expenditure
• Comprehensive product and market knowledge of power transmission, expertise in gas-insulated technology
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English, further language skills are of great advantage
• Experience working in a multicultural environment. Experience in the regions of Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia would be a great advantage
