Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in one or more programming languages, including Java, C++, Python.
- Experience in computer vision, graphics, or machine learning, or computational imaging.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with 3D content-creation tools such as Houdini, Blender, Substance.
- Experience developing and launching videogame(s).
- Expertise in the collection and analysis of real-world sensor data.
- Proficient in Python.
- Experience with 3D game engines like Unreal.

In this role, you will work alongside our teams of data scientists and AI researchers to work with photos and maps. You will deliver 3D assets and environments in a format that is optimized for performance. You will build cloud-based content pipelines that integrate with interactive, real-time applications and can scale to the planet.
Research happens at Google everyday, on many different embedded teams throughout the company. Our research reaches the user through both services and products such as Search, Maps, Google Assistant, Google Translate, Google Cloud and our computing, storage, and networking infrastructure. To achieve this, we’re working on a wide variety of projects that utilize the latest state-of-the-art technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible.
Responsibilities
- Work with imagery and 3D data.
- Develop content pipelines and formats for rendering in 3D engines.
- Create renderable, realistic 3D assets and artist tool.
- Build Cloud infrastructure to scale content creation to the globe.
- Collaborate with end-users to deliver content that solves their needs.
