The Deep Learning team in Fribourg is part of the Advanced Vision Technology business unit , responsible for delivering state-of-the-art technology in Cognex products.

About you
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic software developer who demonstrates a can-do attitude and enthusiasm for learning and applying new development tools. He/she will enjoy the chance to grow th individually while contributing to our software platform with state-of-the-art technology. Here is a list of some of the things we pay attention to in our hiring process:
Master degree in one of the following fields: c omputer s cience , e lectrical engineering , m icroengi neeri ng , p hysics , m athematics , l ife s cience , o ther engineering fields
Excellent programming skills
Computer vision knowledge is a plus
Deep Learning experience is a plus
Willingness to develop competencies in software engineering and in one of the following topics:
Algorithmic development
Cloud computing
Embedded computing
Good presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Spoke n a nd written fluency in English required
What you will do
Develop technology used in Cognex Deep Learning products
Optimize algorithms for embedded platform
Contribute to the Cognex Cloud platform
Apply state of the art machine learning algorithms to industrial images
Solve complex multidisciplinary problems, create software components shared across multiple teams, improve process communication, integrate network protocols, and implement other high-level application functionalities
Collaborate with our Seoul and Boston software teams for development as well as the integration of our product with other software solutions
