Software Test Engineer – 5063 (ADA)

Our client is a leading Medical Technology company in Switzerland. It is headquartered in Central Switzerland and has a global network of production sites, subsidiaries and sales partners. For our client’s IT department, we are looking for a Software Test Engineer for a permanent role to be based in Central Switzerland area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, extend and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded Software (for microcontrollers) mobile apps and cloud applications
  • Develop tools, stubs, mocks and simulators for test automation
  • Integrate specific hardware, mechanics and electronics into the automated test stands
  • Design, enhance and build-up electro-mechanical test benches
  • Master Java (or similar) on a high level
  • Support and consult the software test engineers and the software test manager in automation topics
  • Ensure qualified status and save operation of the automated test environments

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
  • Strong technical and engineering background, to tackle independently the automation challenges
  • Knowledge on microcontroller platforms, ability to read and understand HW schematics
  • Software architecture, design methods, software patterns, UML are familiar concepts
  • Hands on experience of using modern tools like Maven, Spring, Git, Cucumber, Appium, Selenium et. al.
  • Good understanding of the needs of software testes (ISTQB Certified Software Tester)
  • Experience in regulated environments (IEC 6230g, GAMO et.al.)
  • English spoken and written (B1), German is a plus
