The Swiss venture powerhouse and its entities are looking for a highly-motivated analyst for a 10 to 12 months graduate program starting in October 2022. Get insights into the entities of the Swiss Startup Group with Serpentine Ventures, Swiss Startup Factory, and BV4.

Our 10-12 month-long program offers a unique view into the following entities:

• Swiss Startup Group: leading Swiss venture platform governing its business units
• Serpentine Ventures: Venture asset manager with five different funds in the market
• Swiss Startup Factory: venture studio building and scaling high-growth ventures
• BV4: venture intelligence boutique supporting private, institutional and corporate investors and ventures in their deals and funding
  

In our program, you will see and experience the venture ecosystem from the different perspectives of 4 of Swiss Startup Group’s business units. You will gain valuable insights into the venture ecosystem and the different players from startup founders, VC funds, corporate investors, etc. You will have direct contact with founders of startups from different industries and be able to go to various startup and network events for our company. If your output, drive and ambition suit the company, we are open to offering you a permanent position.

Tasks

• Assessment of pitch decks and business models
• Perform due diligence and valuation analyses
• Scouting of startups for clients and to invest in
• Develop and assess business models for venture building activities
• Perform market analyses and monitor ongoing trends in the startup environment
• Conduct calls with founders to analyze startup cases
• Support the venture building team in all areas of venture building (analyzing ideas, building prototypes, market tests etc)
  

Requirements

• Graduated bachelor- or master’s student of a top-tier university, ideally with a commercial or financial focus
• Prior experience in the field of VC, private equity, innovation or startup preferred
• Team player and used to work independently
• Attention to detail, well organized with a can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile
• Smart thinker, quick learner with an analytical mindset
• Excellent ability to communicate in English, German and/or French is a big plus
• Professional knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
• Enthusiastic about startups and ventures
