Position: Strategic Procurement Specialist - German speaker
Location: Bern
Overview:
We are recruiting a Strategic Procurement Specialist for the Swiss office of a Global Engineering Group. Our client is a multinational Engineering company and worldwide market leader in their field. This is an outstanding opportunity to become a major part of this dynamic organisation going through a high growth phase.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing the strategic planning for local and international procurement activities
- Both strategic and well as operational procurement (when required) of components, materials and technical groups of products
- Management of the supply chain local teams and their activities
- Selection, negotiation, strategic sourcing management of external local and international vendors/suppliers, their quality check and audit
- Identifying and delivering continuous improvements processes through the wider supply chain
- Setting, maintaining leadership goals and KPI’s, as well as data analysis to assess the performance
- Liaising with the production, R&D, international warehouses/ business units on the company to improve procurement and standardise the processes
- Use, maintain and train on the materials tracking system SAP and associated tools
- Execution and management of in/out areas in order to improve the materials flow process
Skills and Experience
- Educated to a degree, master level or similar - business-related subject
- At least 3-5 years of strategic international supply chain and procurement in manufacturing organisations: industrial, equipment, machinery or electronics manufacturing
- Proven supply chain management expertise both hands-on as leading people’s objectives
- Supply chain related certificates such as APICS would be a plus
- Excellent communication skills in German and English across all levels of business
