Our products and solutions have been deployed in over 170 countries serving more than one third of the world’s population.With 28 sites across Europe and 2000 researchers, Huawei’s European Research Institute (ERI) oversees fundamental and applied technology research, academic research cooperation projects, and strategic technical planning across our network of European R&D facilities.ERI is looking for a Strategic Research Engineer in Future Computing, the successful candidate will join Huawei’s Institute of Strategic Research - European team and will be based in Zurich Research Center. .Your main responsibilities:
  • From a technical point of view, exploit and conduct insight activities of new technology, especially the future computing architectures which could break through the Von Neumann bottleneck.
  • Analyse the potential value, technical breakthrough and technical difficulties of new technologies related to future computing. Make in-depth technology and industry analysis reports, providing an overview reference for the strategic decision-making.
  • Involve in tracking the latest technology achievements in the related fields through international conferences, publications and business exhibitions, etc.
  • Organize seminars and workshops in related fields and maintain regular technical exchanges with academic and business partners.
Basic requirement:
  • Education background in computer science or related disciplines. Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Work experience in both academic and industrial institutions is preferred.
  • Keen insight and analytical ability of future computing.
  • Fluent speaking & writing in English.
  • Strong capabilities of teamwork and self-learning.
Advanced requirement:
  • Candidate needs to have a general vision or professional connections to resources in the areas described above in Europe, including research institutes, universities, and companies.
