A leading Swiss industrial group is seeking exclusively through us the contact with a Supplier Development & Quality Manager.

We are looking for an international Supply Chain leader who is comfortable working and communicating in a global, ambiguous and cyclical demand environment. You will be responsible for executing and driving supplier development and part qualifications across the Group.

Tasks

As Supplier Development Manager you will act as a technical escalation key person for technical guidance and expertise to help resolve supplier quality issues. The task and aim are to achieve and maintain a high level of performance in the global supply base and supplier relationship ranging from domestic to global needs. You will lead a team of Supplier Development Engineers to secure team performances and people engagement.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of supplier technology capabilities (process and product) in support of current and future supply chain and sourcing strategies
  • Enhancement of supplier relationships by supporting the build-up and delivery of corrective actions as well as continuous improvement plans and/or roadmaps
  • Determine risk associated with identified issues and determines disposition promptly to support requirements
  • Lead the establishment of performance targets and/or goals in compliance with the Groups business and operations objectives (targeted long-term goals), not only but also vendor quality management dashboard
  • Deliver robustness throughout the Groups supply chain including sub-tier suppliers
  • Own supplier audit process
Requirements
  • 10+ years of leadership and Supplier Quality experience including supplier assessment, supplier audits, and component qualification using PPAP is required.
  • Strong mechanical / electro background desired; knowledge of plastic injection molding & tooling, metal stampings & tooling, metal fabrication, machining and various electrical components, connectors, PCB & PCBA, cable assembly, full assembly integration etc.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings; experienced with reading and using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience / qualification / training / certification on ISO9001, 14001 /TS16949 or similar standards
  • Experienced in statistical analysis of component and process quality including Process capability studies (Cpk), Design of Experiments (DOE), gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R), and statistical tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Experience in audit process as auditor or lead auditor. Strong analytical and investigational skills
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementation and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs
