Supply Chain Excellence & Innovation Specialist

The Role

Your are playing a key role by elevating the digital capabilities of Novelis Europe Supply Chain and contributing to one of its main milestones, the enablement of our European data lake. This is an excellent role for someone who has a special interest in Supply Chain Management, and that can leverage on his/her technical and innovative skills to steer the Supply Chain digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Your Responsibilties
  • Understand supply chain problems and opportunities and d rive swift insights on turning data into efficient, effective and proactive actionable information
  • Support in developing and building the data infrastructure required to enable the Novelis Digital Analytics Platform (DAP)
  • Drive automation and consistency in reporting processes through the utilization of new low code technologies and data empowerment from the Novelis Digital Analytics Platform (DAP)
  • Lead the development and publishing of metrics and visualizations to drive productivity improvement and sustainability in Regional SC including (but not limited to) demand/supply planning, supply delivery reliability, inventory optimization, component quality, and supply chain design risk
  • Actively influence and drive a data-driven culture that leverages leading indicators and connects data to strategy
  • Utilize functional and technical mastery and business knowledge to consistently improve processes and apply technology solutions to automate manual processes, including (but not limited to) deployment of new planning tools, upgrade of existing systems, among others
Your Qualifications
  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline with exposure to supply chain through experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in project planning and data management solution solving, understand drivers, and establish analytics roadmaps to drive improvements, approx 5-7 years experience in supply chain
  • Knowledge in Agile project management is a plus
  • Desire for empowering people with the right information to make the best decisions
  • Experience with data lakes, reporting & querying technology including dashboards – PowerBI, Oracle, SQL and/or statistical tools
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Knowledge in SAP modules is a plus (ECC; APO / PPDS)
  • Proven leadership skills, creating an inclusive environment, motivating towards innovation
Location Profile

Novelis’ European regional headquarters is located just outside of the city of Zürich Switzerland employing approximately 80 people. It covers different corporate functions such as general management finance supply chain metal management human resources corporate communications tax legal information technology and procurement. Its central location in Europe makes it easy to reach other European cities in no time.
