We help clients to understand regulatory developments pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility, and assist them in building ESG risk frameworks, as well as offering due diligence and risk management solutions. Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a leading Swiss bank, ECOFACT is a fully independent firm based in Zurich.

We are looking for a Sustainable Finance Legal Specialist & Junior Consultant (80-100%) to join our Regulatory Team of legal experts in sustainable finance and corporate responsibility. The Regulatory Team is responsible for advising ECOFACT clients as well as maintaining the Policy Outlook, which is the world’s most comprehensive regulatory research service pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility.

Tasks

As a Sustainable Finance Legal Specialist & Junior Consultant, you will:
  • contribute to ECOFACT’s research of regulatory developments pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility by writing entries summarizing key regulatory aspects
  • support the Regulatory Team on a variety of advisory projects, and
  • be involved in the Regulatory Team’s day-to-day activities.
Requirements

Candidate profile

You are:
  • a motivated self-starter
  • fluent in German (C2 – spoken and written) and English (C1 – spoken and written)
  • proficient in other languages, such as French and Spanish, and
  • experienced in the legal aspects of sustainable finance, human rights, and corporate responsibility.
You must have:
  • a full degree in law
  • in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to financial products and services
  • strong document drafting skills
  • the ability to translate technical regulatory information into practical actions by demonstrating its implications to our clients
  • experience in project management
  • an excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite, and
  • a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship.
