To support our e-Mobility R&D Systems group, we are looking to join us in our new offices in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland for a:

SW/HW Safety and Quality Assurance Engineer

Purpose:

Being a part of the R&D Systems team in charge of battery modules and Battery Management System (BMS) developments, reporting to the functional Safety Manager, your mission is to provide independent and objective assurance that work products and processes comply with Customers & BU requirements and plans and that non conformances are resolved and further prevented.

Role & Responsibilities:

For the BMS R&D activities perform the following tasks for the System, Hardware and Software development:

  • Ensure the Quality of process activities: Workflows, processes, and products compliance with safety regulations and standards (V-Model, EN50128, ISO26262 or IEC61508).
  • Define, write, and maintain a SW quality assurance plan for each project.
  • Create a detailed, well-structured, and comprehensive verification plans and reports.
  • Ensure source code compliance with coding guidelines.
  • Ensure resolution of non-compliance, prepare corrective actions.
  • Identify potential unsafe scenarios by carrying out software error analysis (e.g., SW-FMEA, SEEA).
  • Support Functional Safety manager in system and hardware safety analyses (e.g., risk analysis, reliability calculation).
  • Endorse the responsibilities of EN50657 verifier (i.e. develop Software Verification Plans, check the adequacy of the documented evidences, identify anomalies, evaluate risks, manage the verification processes, develop and maintain records on the verification activities and Verification Reports).

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience in product development
  • Experience in software quality and processes
  • Experience in the role of quality, on critical systems (automotive, aeronautic, railway)
  • Knowledge of quality management tools, process and monitoring
  • Knowledge of the product development life cycle in terms of system, electrical or software development
