Tax Specialist, Banking

A leading international Bank is looking for a Tax Consultant to work closely with their customers, becoming a trusted advisor and a subject matter expert on an international basis. The business has a global footprint with offices across several continents, and provides first-rate services to Private Clients and Intermediaries.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of Tax and Compliance topics with colleagues from across the business; advising clients on all tax related consequences of financial products, withholding taxes, producing accurate and timely tax reports for customers, taxes on financial transactions, and any tax consequences of CRS/FATCA etc. too. It is expected that the individual will create a centre of competence for the whole business, advising colleagues and keeping up to date with any developments within the market and regulations.

To be considered for this position you must be a fluent German and English speaker with several years of relevant experience within international taxation and strong knowledge of tax regulation, finance, and law too. You will be well educated and have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be well presented when speaking to clients. You will have good IT skills (Avaloq knowledge is highly desirable) and an analytical mindset- always keeping the client and their needs as the top priority.
