Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.

As a Technical Trainer for Gas Insulated Switchgears, you are responsible for training and certification of our global network of field service engineers. Further you would provide tailored trainings to external customers worldwide. Being part of the global Gas Insulated Switchgear competence center in Rüti and Oerlikon, Switzerland you support the global network in technical aspects as a subject matter expert.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical training in the Training Center in Rüti or Oerlikon
  • Preparation and execution of existing course program and teaching documentation for external customers
  • Maintain and up-date the teaching materials based on new product instructions and/or site experiences
  • Creation of new training modules and development within defined expert scope according to technical and strategic Network/Market needs
  • Monitor training quality and adapt the course execution based on results of review sessions and/or participants feedbacks
  • Serve as role model across organization and instructs other colleagues
  • Support the build-up of a new training center

Your Background

  • Technical Apprenticeship or higher technical education
  • Professional experience as a field service engineer
  • Know-how in project and stakeholder management
  • Thinking independently to proactively challenge traditional solutions and developing new approaches and standards
  • Structured, analytical and data driven mindset
  • Experience in teaching people is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus but not necessary
