Technical Trainer - Telecoms 80-100% (f/m/d)

In the role of Technical Trainer (Telecoms) you will handle the full range of activities associated with delivering technical training courses to customers. This will include the preparation of training material such as PowerPoint slides and preparation of the training centre equipment for practical exercises. The main aspect of the role is to deliver the content of the training in an enthusiastic, interesting, and knowledgeable way. Do you enjoy helping others understand how to make something work?

Your responsibilities:

• Teach engineers from a variety of backgrounds about the technology behind Hitachi Energy products in the wired communications range.
• Teach engineers how to install, commission and maintain Hitachi Energy products.
• Prepare specialized telecoms equipment for use in a training course.
• Set up computers and other IT equipment for use in a training course.
• Prepare and collaborate with colleagues to introduce the fresh information into the training materials.
• Teach yourself about the new features and functions available in Hitachi Energy products, introduced at each new release.
• Keep the training centre facility well-organised and tidy.
• Local and Global Technical Support for all requests regarding Telecommunications (approx. 10%).

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering
• 2 years work experience, preferably spent in a training department or organization.
• In-depth knowledge of Hitachi Energy FOX615 Multiplexer (or similar products) and fiber-optic technology (SDH/PDH/MPLS), telephony (PABX/VoIP), data networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP), and Hitachi Energy ETL600 Power Line Carrier devices for high-voltage power lines (or similar products).
• Well-developed presentation skills.
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus.
• Experience in telecommunications engineering would be an advantage.
• Good command of English and German / French and Spanish language skills would be an asset
