DECTRIS sales team is strengthening in commercial excellence and legal topics. You will be responsible for handling commercial, contractual, legal, and administrative documents such as tenders and supplier agreements. You will become the owner of our export control operations and processes. Export control is a fast-growing field of expertise, and your contribution will be critical to the continued success of the company. You must have an interest in helping our team work more efficiently and effectively, including developing processes to help us manage our legal and commercial workstreams. You may have some legal training, whether that is a law degree, conversion course, or some applied legal or paralegal work experience. Alternatively, you have a keen commercial sense added to your interest in legal/compliance topics. You will have the opportunity to strengthen your skills in the needed area. Tender and export control manager

Your Tasks

  • Participate in setting up our Export Control data, tools/process, and ensure the related Product Classification report is maintained.
  • Create and maintain written procedures and practical export control guidance to local businesses necessary for daily in-and-outbound operations, including formal documentation.
  • Independently coordinate and monitor the entire tender process, manage the timelines and content according to the client’s requirements
  • Efficiently handle customers’ tender platforms
  • Analyze and understand customer requirements as set out in the tender documents
  • Bring together the requirements of internal and external needs into solutions
  • Liaise with the global commercial teams and other internal departments to compile needed information.
  • Prepare and manage legal documentation

Your Competences & Experiences

  • Kauffrau/-mann EFZ and further education in e.g. logistics, export, customs or min. 3 years of export experience in an international environment or
    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. international trade, logistics, law)
  • Experience in managing small projects and coordinating between multiple teams is a plus
  • Ability to structure work, prioritize and manage tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English, a good level in German or alternatively French or Italian is essential, every other language is a plus
  • Knowledge of customs and foreign trade law restrictions and prohibitions as well as preferential law would be beneficial
  • Experience in tender management or trade compliance is a plus
  • Proactive, independent, amiable, flexible, motivated and solution-oriented team player
