Trading Venues Engineer vacancy for our Basel based client company in the financial sector.

Your tasks:

  • Resolving incidents reported by business users on banking applications
  • Contributing to long-term system performance and resilience enhancements
  • Supporting market data, trading venue cost reduction initiatives
  • Assisting in the integration of new trading and market venues
  • Documenting trading and market venue connectivity and support processes


Your experience/knowledge:

  • 3+ years of experience working as Trading or Market Venue Engineer, preferably in a financial environment
  • Knowledge of message protocols including FIX, TOF and FPML/XML with ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Expertise with integration technologies such as Kafka and MessageQ
  • A deep understanding of market and trade data usage in financial institutions, including data consolidation and business data understanding
  • Knowhow of administering entitlements in Trading and Market venues, encompassing rights, access, logs, and line of defense
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and alerting systems

  • Ability to effectively partner and collaborate across teams
