We are currently looking to recruit a Train Control Software Architect (m/f/d)
in Zürich, Switzerland



As a Software Architect you will apply the principles of software architecture and engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software and systems to fulfil the stakeholder requirements. As technical team lead you will be the generalist to act as a servant leader to the domain specialists that form the team.
You will perform software architecture and design assignments as well as team and stakeholder coordination requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience and will provide advice and guidance to other engineers or designers.


YOUR TASKS
  • Transform specified designs into a well working physical realization
  • Analyze and transform specified requirements into detailed design solutions
  • Define, extend and maintain the software architecture according to the business
  • Ensure integrity, stability and quality improvements of the software
  • Assemble software and/or hardware items through all levels up to form a complete subsystem (e.g. TCMS Platform Architecture or TCMS user application software)
  • Establish and maintain the integrity of work products using configuration identification, control, and status accounting
  • Examine and judge whether the output of a specific development phase fulfils respective requirements
  • Manage the project’s scope by setting, maintaining and reporting project budgets and schedules.
  • Monitor metrics on the status of critical tasks and objectives as well as expediting project related issues and topics.
  • Responsible for ensuring that agile values are understood, and the corresponding processes are used as intended.

YOUR QUALIFCATIONS
  • BA degree (MA/ PhD degree are a plus)
  • Experience in using DOORS or other similar tools
  • Experience in developing Software systems and programming languages
  • Experience in working with a team or software engineers and test engineers in a coordinative or lead role
  • Software Development (Basic Integrity and SIL2) according to EN50657 (IEC61131, C/C++, Matlab, Simulink) is a plus
  • Experience in working with a team of software engineers and test engineers in a coordinative or leading role
  • Fluent in English and German
