WHO YOU ARE

The Customer Support Centre is responsible for all non-face-to-face customer contacts. Our aim is to create and support an inspiring and rewarding customer experience and offer great quality throughout the customer contact.
As an Information & Communication Specialist (Translator), you optimize and ensure effective and professional communication towards our co-workers and customers, building commitment and loyalty towards the IKEA brand.

You will support the Customer Support Centre with relevant and effective communication activities and support an open and sharing climate where our co-workers are well informed, and the IKEA culture is a living reality.
You will also coach leaders and co-workers to communicate effectively in the business.

  • You have practical knowledge or further training in the field of translation or language.
  • You are an excellent and inspiring communicator fluent in German & English both verbal and written, any other national language is an advantage.
  • You are IT affine and can quickly familiarize yourself with new technical tools.
  • You can work interdependently and with entrepreneurial spirit.
  • You can lead change through communication with the business goals, customers and co-workers in focus.
  • You bring strong attention to detail and relevant background and experience in translation.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translation of customer communication materials and documents from German to English or from English to German.
  • Support the Team with knowledge management and communication expertise as needed.
  • Implement the translated document in our IKEA tool.

We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are crazy passionate about communication.
