We are looking for a motivated Unix System Engineer to join the IaaS Compute CH team, which is part of the Infrastructure department. In particular he/she will join the Unix team, which is responsible of the whole *nix infrastructure environment for the Banking Platform we’re offering to our clients. Our interfaces are internal stakeholders, Service Deliver Managers and Service Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance
  • OS maintenance with proactive upgrades and patches
  • Supporting internal analysis and troubleshooting in case of incidents, issue, performance problems 24x7x365
  • Security hardening in the OS of competence, supporting Security Operations in design and implement the Company Guidelines
  • Support Architectures in designing new solution or upgrading the existing ones

What we are looking for?

  • Linux or AiX proven or certified skills
  • Min 5 years of experience in the field of competence
  • *nix shell scripting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
  • Fluent English
  • Team work and good communication skills
  • Attitude on problem solving

Extra points for the following:

  • Openshift and/or Cloud Computing experience (both private or public cloud)
  • Interest for the banking business

Salary: CHF50,000.00 - CHF70,000.00 per year
