They fly WingtraOne more than a thousand hours on a monthly basis. And this is only the beginning—together we can achieve so much more. Founded more than 5 years ago, at ETH Zurich, Europe’s leading robotics university, our high-performance WingtraOne drone is continuously improved by a world-class team of 40+ engineers.

For this newly created role you will be in charge of the global Sales team and you will significantly contribute to and drive Wingtra’s sales strategy. The sales team is distributed and operating globally with the key markets being Europe and North America. A high volume of the sales is being performed through national distributors. Your job is to ensure double to triple digit sales growth per year by growing and developing the sales team and its toolbox. You will do this together with your team of regional sales leads and your sales ops team.

Responsibilities
  • Take over operative leadership and contribute significantly to all strategic aspects of a growing sales unit with currently 18 sales professionals
  • Improve, design and implement highly effective and scalable sales processes
  • Spend time in the field with your sales teams and ensure motivation of our team and customer satisfaction stays high
  • Use data and analytics to assess and manage sales performance and contribute to the strategy using your data driven insights
  • Hire and develop young professionals as well as experienced sales experts to grow the team over time
  • Partner with other functions within Wingtra to push visibility and growth within our target markets
  • Build and nurture sustainable relationships with key customers and partners

Requirements
  • You have built and lead a successful international sales team before
  • You have experience in selling professional equipment (hardware and software) and familiarity with the construction, surveying and mapping, or mining industries are a plus
  • You are excellent in mentoring and coaching, you easily connect with people, and understand how you can motivate a team or individual
  • You’re experienced in setting up motivating monetary and non-monetary incentive systems and you are at ease managing performance in a cooperative style
  • You are able and willing to switch between an operative and strategic working focus as required
  • You have a good understanding of the particularities of selling through a distributor network and you are able to tailor your approach to local markets and business culture
  • Ideally you have a profound understanding of cultures in Europe and North America and you are at ease navigating in new markets and cultures
  • You have experience in managing an internationally distributed remote team very effectively using face2face meetings, video conferencing, CRMs, and asynchronous communication
  • You are at home using and interpreting data and working in a modern CRM like Hubspot or project management software like Clickup
  • You are willing to travel 30% internationally and be around 30% of your time in the Zurich headquarters
