Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics company dedicated to solving complex problems of traditional industries like automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing and pharma. We work with some of the biggest organisations in Europe to solve the challenges that directly affect their business - be it operations, finance, manufacturing or R&D. Since our foundation, we have successfully delivered more than 100 projects.

Unit8’s mission is to drive the adoption of AI and Data Science in the non-digital industries and to help accelerate their digital transformation. Among its activities, Unit8 dedicates a part of its resources and time on projects that deeply matter to us - that includes collaboration on pro-bono and "engineering for good" cases.

Are You the team member we are looking for?

Unit8 is looking for a Digital & AI Consulting Internto join our team in Lausanne for 5-6 months. This is a full time paid internship starting in September. You will have the opportunity to apply state of the art models, use cutting edge technologies in real-world, highly impactful challenges. As an intern, you are a true member of the team, working on current team priorities, being involved in every aspect of business development activities and projects. You will learn how it feels like to build a new consulting practice within a a fast growing AI & Advanced Analytics services provider.

You are:

• pursuing or have recently completed your Bachelor/Master/MBA studies and have an interest in a career at the intersection of business & IT - any degree background will be considered
• having prior work experience in business development or management consulting (e.g. as working student or through a previous internship)
• an outgoing personality with an interest in business development & AI-related management consulting
• able to build and deliver convincing storylines and presentations (e.g. in MS Power Point, Google Slides)
• a fast learner, have great attention to detail and quickly adapt to new environments and challenges
• understanding the value of teamwork
• fluent in English (German or French would be a plus)
• holding a Swiss passport or a valid EU/EFTA work permit

What You’ll Do

Your role can evolve and will depend on our clients’ and internal challenges. In general, you will:

• work directly with the head of our Digital & AI Consulting practice to support our growth
• co-develop the growth strategy and concepts for new digital & AI consulting offerings
• contribute to our business development team in creating sales materials and preparing client meetings
• support client projects in different industries to develop the right solutions
• support the creation of white papers and industry thought leadership on AI-related topics
• conduct data analysis and industry research and compile and present your findings
• assist with the preparation of business development events and client workshops
