Arxada is looking for a Category Manager to lead and assume full accountability for the Energy Category. This position is based in Visp, Switzerland, remote work in Switzerland is possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop forward-looking strategies that provide long-term value to the business
  • Lead and assume full accountability for the entire energy category in Visp, which includes Power, Natural Gas, CO2 Certificates and Cracker Feedstocks
  • Identify and deliver value and cost reduction through applying a professional strategic sourcing approach and ensure Governmental refunds
  • Drive category expertise through an understanding of supply markets/trends, cost drivers and the impact to Arxada business model
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective strategies that enable step change improvements in energy consumption, CO2 Emissions, Cracker Feedstock Supply Security, etc.
  • Develop relationships to suppliers and Swiss governmental functions (e.g. CO2 emission reduction program and goals, KEV) that leverage their capabilities, improve supply continuity and reduce total cost of ownership.
Key Requirements
  • University degree required in Purchasing, Engineering, Chemistry, Finance or Business
  • Extensive experience in Category Management/Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, preferably in the energy sector
  • Demonstrated skills managing priorities and leading projects in a highly complex matrix environment
  • Fluent in English and German with exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • A thought-partner, not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Computer software skills including Microsoft Office & CRM database
  • Travel activities > 10%.
