For our EME Headquarters based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, we are looking for a:

Demand Planning Manager, Commercial Planning 100%

This position will be based at our European Headquarters, Neuhausen in Switzerland. Preferred start date 1st October 2023 or as soon as possible.

Job Summary:

AGCO has an opening for a Demand Planning Manager - Commercial Planning to join its team in delivering extraordinary results. The Demand Planning Manager - Commercial Planning is responsible for creating an accurate, unbiased demand plan for the markets and regions in their scope so enable AGCO to plan the value chain to meet customer needs. The role will require a hands-on worker who will drive the creation of a demand forecast and work with other functional teams. This role will support aggregation & review of constrained demand, via Demand Planners, to support financial planning, and P&L analysis with local brands & regions. This function will also coordinate reviews and brand sign-off for monthly cycles (ex. AIG) and manage coordination among stakeholders on all demand inputs.

Key Responsibilities:

Key activities for this new function are the following:

  • Close cooperation with the global and EME Demand Planning team
  • Lead a team of Demand Planners in the region
  • Responsible for Demand Planning in the EME region for specific parts of the AGCO product range
  • Close cooperation and managing coordination with the EME headquarter functions, e.g. brand Management, Finance and Supply Chain to support financial planning and P&L analysis
  • Coordinate reviews and brand sign-off for monthly S&OP cycles
  • Collect and incorporate forecast data and inputs provided by the business
  • Work with Product, Marketing, and Sales to incorporate product life cycle and sales event information into demand forecasts
  • Collect past/future demand factors (distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products, and promotion plans, for example) from sales and marketing and forecast/model their impacts on demand.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and operations to understand and interpret the potential impact market trends and demand drivers can have on-demand and adjust the statistical forecast to reflect those impacts.
  • Monitor and manage performance across the demand planning process
  • Identify and assess demand exceptions and work with other planners (demand, capacity, materials, production) to resolve exceptions, including via the S&OP and S&OE processes, as needed
  • Provide insight to stakeholders, including Sales & Marketing, on demand plan
  • Understand strategy and priorities of Sales & Marketing for the products and markets in their scope

Requirements / Minimum Qualification:

To apply for this position, you should have the following qualifications

  • Developing knowledge of the plan-to-invoice process
  • Established skills in exception management and resolution and demand sensing
  • Developing skills in long term demand / supply planning, data analysis, management reporting
  • Excellent skills in customer focus, interpersonal skills, teamwork & collaboration,

plans & alignment, business acumen, financial acumen

  • Good SAP knowledge and excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent English and German communication skills, additional languages advantageous (e.g. French, Italian, Finnish)
  • Systematic and self-contained work approach
