Nanosurfis a fast-growing innovator in the nanotechnology market. We develop, manufacture and market state-of-the-art scanning probe microscopes for imaging and manipulation of surfaces at the nanometer range. We work at the limit of what is physically possible and develop all the mechanical, electronic, optical and software components necessary for best-in-class instruments.

Your tasks

As the Head of Finance at Nanosurf AG, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions and financial activities of Nanosurf AG and its subsidiaries. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Swiss GAAP, and ideally, German GAAP.

  • Develop comprehensive business plans for strategic projects , including those related to Research and Development (R&D) and CAPEX
  • Accountability for the accuracy of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet monthly and Cash Management prepared by the controlling team
  • Directly manage the Head of controlling and his team of 2 finance professionals
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Reinforce the integration of Nanosurf AG with the parent company (German group)
  • Increase the financial integration of subsidiaries located in China, USA, Germany, and the UK
  • Create and regularly update budgets for all subsidiaries. Update the year-end forecast for the entire group on a monthly basis
  • Define and manage licenses and patents for R&D
  • Manage insurance and tax-related matters
Your profile

If you bring a proven track record as a financial leader role in a deep tech or industrial company, coupled with robust analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, we want to hear from you. Your communication and interpersonal skills, along with your familiarity with accounting standards (Swiss GAAP FER & German GAAP) and regulations, make you an ideal candidate.

Proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of German is strongly advantageous. With a minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience and a background in an industrial/high tech company being a definite plus, you will thrive in our dynamic and innovative environment.
