About Our Client

Our client, a leading international player in the pharmaceutical industry with modern offices in the Lucerne area, is looking for a structured and reliable Operations Planning Specialist in a temporary assignment for the next 12 months to start immediately.

Depending on the selected candidate’s performance and motivation, the possibility of an extension is given.

Job Description

The Operations Planning Specialist will report to the Associate Director and will be responsible for planning and scheduling. Additionally, the primary purpose will be to coordinating orders, providing support primarily for assigned projects and monitoring all activities until completion across different work centers of the supply chain.
  • Supporting global work center with timelines and knowledge about the Booklet label manufacturing process
  • Manually inspection (Character by Character check) of the label text provided by the contract manufacturer
  • Collaborating with global master planning and project management (demand and supply project managers) to establish priorities across different projects
  • Negotiating timelines with contract manufacturers and requests/reviews quotes
  • Monitoring the adherence to project schedules and documents progress in respective databases
  • Assisting the work centers for issue resolution as needed, whether in the form of personal meetings or other type of exchange
  • Main contact for the Demand Manager and the contract manufacturer, Good Manufacturing Practices and Compliance in general
  • Following workflows and procedures according to current SOPs
  • Respect the client’s policies concerning safety, health and environmental protection, finance, and quality
The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the role, the ideal candidate must have:
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree preferred, ideally in supply chain, life science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in supply chain environment, as well as industry experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices environment
  • Previous experience within an international and fast paced environment
  • String skills in Microsoft applications
  • First experience with SAP
  • Solid English skills (C1-C2), as well as good German skills (B1-B2)
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple tasks at one time and meet deadline
  • Structured and proactive working attitude
  • Diligent and quality oriented
