About the team you are joining

At IATA IT Internal Development team, our commitment to excellence in web application development is shaped by rigorous policies, ranging from our detailed SDLC processes to rigorous security measures. Our preferred architectures stand as evidence of our dedication to modernity and adaptability. As we continuously evaluate and set the benchmark for both in-house and third-party technologies, we’re seeking a dynamic individual with a specific focus on shaping and advancing our web applications within this robust framework. Here, you’ll play a pivotal role in a team that’s defined by precision, innovation, and integrity. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head of IT Internal Development at the Executive Offices in Geneva, Switzerland.


What your day would be like

Much of your time will be dedicated to assist the development team with technical advice. Also hands-on coding, developing, and optimizing our web applications. Whether it’s
creating new features or refining existing ones, your expertise will be central in shaping our web interfaces and build reliable, secure, maintainable, scalable, and sustainable backend solutions.
Stay updated and advocate for the latest frontend and backend trends, ensuring our applications remain modern, user-friendly, sustainable, secure, and scalable.
Regularly engage with architects, developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers. Your feedback and input will be invaluable in driving projects forward and ensuring integrated solutions.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure our applications, both in-house and third-party, meet our stringent standards for user experience and technical quality.
Dedicate moments to capture coding standards and best practices, fostering a culture of consistency and continuous learning within the team.
With the ever-evolving world of frontend development, set aside time to research new tools, techniques, and frameworks. Your insights will help keep our team at the forefront of technology.


We would love to hear from you if

At least 5 years experience in a Technical Lead position.

At least 7 years preferably in DotNet and/or Java.

Proficiency in frontend development spa frameworks like Angular or React.

Strong foundation in unit and integration testing, RESTful design principles, event-driven architectures, ensuring holistic software quality and functionality.


Mastery of Git and Gitflow process.

Strong DevOps principles and CI/CD practices to streamline the development lifecycle.

Experience with containerization, especially Docker, and deploying applications in AWS Cloud environments.

Extensive knowledge of AWS services (CloudFront,DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, Elastic Cache, Elastic Search, SNS, SQS, Event Bridge).

Good knowledge of UML design,C4 Model, NoSQL, SQL, Oauth2.0.

University degree in Computer Science or related field.

Good communicator and good team spirit.
