The Global Key Account Manager in our business line Custom Development and Manufacturing (CDMO) will be working with our key customers and has overall responsibility and accountability for the successful delivery of the respective Key Account business. In this position you have responsibility for all aspects of the commercial and technical side of the business. You will maintain existing and develop new business with the respective KA’s. Negotiate multi-year contracts and coordinate strategic aspects with other NCE (Nutrition Care & Environmental) business lines. Locations considered: Switzerland or Germany.Essential Job Functions:- Strategy development and execution per KA
- Short to long-term net sales & PC2 target delivery
- Develop and execute account plan per key accounts on global base
- Manage all day-to-day commercial aspects of the KA business
- Lead commercial negotiations and proposal management
- Actively manage, develop and deploy action plans to close deals effectively and maximize margin
- Initiate and lead strategic activities to improve overall profitability and ensure growth with all assigned key accounts, including sourcing strategy and evaluation of make- or buy- / tolling-options
- Build and attract project pipeline
- Maintain and expand multifunctional and multilevel relationships within organization
- Coordinate strategic KA aspects across business lines and with production site leadership
- Maintain and expand industry-network through e.g. participation in relevant conferences, trade shows, and other events
- Leads annual budget process for allocated KAs
- Master’s in science or business. MBA or PhD preferred, science or business
- 5-10 years’ experience in account management or leading project with customer interaction and negotiation
- CDMO & Commercial experience
- Experience in project management, chemical R & D, and production
- Ability to manage ambiguity through effective communication, removes barriers and overcomes resistance skillfully and with finesse
- Demonstrates timely and accurate decision making, ensuring delegation or escalation where appropriate
- Builds strategic, long-term relationships with customers and other stakeholders to drive positive business outcomes
- Leads multiple complex initiatives simultaneously to successful conclusion
- Languages: English & German
- Travel: 10% - 20%
