Senior Manager, eCommerce Media

Location: Zug and/or UK

Permanent: full time

The Senior Manager, eCommerce Media will an individual contributor leading our eCommerce Marketing initiatives across the EMEA region; supporting the base business at the local clusters as well as in close collaboration with our regional Content, Precision, CBI, Franchises and eCommerce Customer Development Squads.

The role is fundamental in leading our strategical & operational approach to best-in-class media & content execution through media and events planning, budget allocation, media execution, media analysis as well as excellent content creation. This role collaborates directly with dedicated squads to drive an audience first approach, powered by data, technology, automation and personalized content.

He or she will act as the owner of our regional partnership relationships with retailers (Amazon) and media agencies (J3 / others) and will build and deploy consistent JBPs & team structures to support regional as well as local execution.

This leader will be both an advisor as well as an educator and strategic visionary for JnJ in the area of media & eCommerce and should have a strong track record of delivering innovative approaches and strategies to planning & execution that maximize ROI. He or she should have a great understanding of retail investments in order to maximize synergies with all trade efforts.

This leader is dually responsible for creating and influencing a regional community of media leaders & eCommerce leaders across markets. He or she will have the opportunity to guide and shape the future of eCommerce for JnJ.

The Responsibilities & The Impact YOU Will Have
  • Media Planning: Planning & budgeting framework and recommendations for eCommerce Media Investments (with connection to overall ROI) for pure players & retailers
  • Media Priorities: Set Strategic guiding principles and priorities for audience-first media planning and executional guidelines across eCommerce channels
  • Media Capabilities and Operations: Improve execution internally and with agencies through streamlined processes, best-in-class agency structures, improved analytics and cross-market KPIs and ROIs
  • Media Measurement: Define & implement (in collaboration with CBI) learning agendas across partners to drive adoption of best partners formats as well as shoppable solutions
  • Events Executions: Define & oversee execution of regional events for our key regional businesses
  • Audience Strategy: Audience-centric marketplace approaches, scalable and applicable to be customized for individual markets ensuring connection with regional & local audience definitions
  • Amazon Media Partnership Management: Key regional media partnership leverage, deal negotiation, and/or joint business plan development for Amazon
  • Creative Excellence: Inputs into campaign & creative planning to ensure creative idea consistency, content savings & scaling through regional services.
  • New Models: Lead new models to drive data-sharing & collaborative efforts with key regional commerce players
  • Media Priorities and Capabilities and enabling HVA-planning, buying and delivery with Precision Squad lead as well as Content Excellence with Content Squad Lead
  • Event Strategy and execution supporting regional franchise squads & local teams
  • Partnership & Agency management and execution of initiatives
  • Community of Practice, Workflow development and Training

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s or MBA is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience of Media & eCommerce experience and a strong track record understanding of sales planning, business results and organizational leadership
  • Track record of media leadership success, with a strong understanding of the partner landscape, opportunities and delivering in-market results
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce landscape, players and tools and planning & executional guidelines to drive incremental sales
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to shape, data-driven media strategies through eCommerce/DTC channels with an audience mindset
  • Experience in media planning and buying, both performance & non-performance driven, including streamlining media operations & agency structures an obsession to drive ROI
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and agencies is required
  • Coaching/mentoring skills to develop marketers is required; a team-builder with a passion for working with creative people is mandatory
  • Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams across a matrix organization
  • Exceptional business communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex messages to diverse audiences
  • Travel requirements: 15% in Region
  • Preferrable experience in: Media & Precision, Content, Digital Analytics, Commercial, Regional and local DMX, J3, Wavemaker, Amazon, Google, Facebook
