工作内容

The role reports to the Director Bio Product Development (BPDT) based in Bellinzona and is responsible for providing scientific leadership in the antibodies production and determination of critical quality attributes. With a high level of autonomy, the role leads cross functional projects and thanks to a high level of expertise and scientific background coordinate and guide more junior resources in the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promotes selection of innovative methods and techniques, dealing with the solution of complex problems
  • Collects, interprets and critically analyzes data, maintains accurate records of experimental findings
  • Carries out complex laboratory activities keeping accurate records of experimental details and results related to assigned projects
  • Writes reports and supports scientific writings under minimal supervision
  • Reviews literature and the findings of other researchers and attends conferences to seek and establish new methods and technologies to facilitate research
  • Provides scientific leadership to more junior scientists and/or research associates and may acts as advisor to the middle and top management
  • Manages and plans multiple projects to accomplish complex assignments
  • Contributes to the management of external collaborations, including CROs, academic collaborators, and industry partners

Experience and skills
  • Solid in depth understanding of protein production process and chemistry
  • Expertise with state-of-the-art techniques, methods, and scientific processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills also in English, and ability to work on inter-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a high paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work from multiple projects
  • Must exercise critical and creative, out of the box, thinking and have strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills

Education
Ms and at least 10 years of working relevant experience
PhD and at least 5 years of working experience in a relevant area
